CINQUE Cares is more than a logo on our labels. It is an initiative – our initiative for a more sustainable future. CINQUE Cares is our commitment to minimizing the negative economic, ecological, and social impacts of the fashion industry while at the same time creating transparency about what we are doing now – and what we will do in the future. We guarantee respectful treatment of resources, the planet, and people. We use our influence to bring the idea of sustainability into the necessary focus both within the industry and among our customers.
CINQUE CARES
Sustainable materials
Since 2022, we have been using cotton sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative to promote sustainable cotton cultivation. We also already use recycled materials such as down or polyester in our collections – all these items are marked with the CINQUE Cares label.

2nd Chance
We never throw away or destroy unsold products. Items that are not sold are first offered at reduced prices. Remaining products are then given another chance in our outlets. What is not sold there goes to our employee sale. If products are still left over, we have been donating them to a charitable organization for many years.
Quality & Value Chain
A thorough value chain from material sourcing to sales is our top priority, as is true craftsmanship. This is the only way to meet our high standards in design, fit, and workmanship. That is why we work with experts who make no compromises in processing and quality, primarily use Italian and/or European fabrics as well as components and materials, and mainly produce in Europe.
Short distances
We keep delivery routes as short as possible by producing primarily in Europe and rely on means of transport with the lowest possible CO₂ footprint – such as rail or sea. We try to avoid or minimize air transport and bundle transport capacities.
Restricted substances
Hazardous and toxic substances for the environment are a no-go for us. For this purpose, we maintain a Restricted Substances List (RSL) that includes the requirements of all major internationally recognized environmental standards and legal regulations (e.g. REACH, Oeko-Tex, The State of California’s Proposition 65, CPSIA).
Packed with love
Our goal is to conserve resources, which is why our packaging is produced as energy-efficiently as possible from recycled, recyclable, or renewable raw materials and is certified with the Green Dot.
Code of Conduct
We follow the Code of Conduct of the German textile and fashion industry. It serves as a guideline for socially responsible corporate behavior. In its function, the Code focuses on identifying areas of responsibility in corporate actions and providing a framework that companies can use to individually align their corporate policies.
