History

CINQUE was founded in 1984 by two friends in Cinque Terre, Italy. Driven by their passion for the Italian lifestyle, they pursued a clear vision from the very beginning: to bring effortlessly casual Italian fashion with a love for design to the world. With this idea, CINQUE captured the spirit of the 1980s. In the founding year, the first menswear collection was created in Germany, laying the foundation for building the brand. In 1991, the first womenswear collection was launched, marking another milestone in the company’s development. From the original idea, an internationally operating fashion label has emerged, whose identity to this day is shaped by Italian passion, authenticity, and an open, life-affirming attitude.
